先日、Scalewayより、ARM InstanceがEnd-of-Lifeを迎え廃止するとのメールが届きました。
ベアメタルのC2とARM InstanceのARM64プランが対象となっています。
1. 4/16以降は在庫があっても新規でC2, ARM64 Instanceが作成できなくなります。
2. 7/1以降はサポートが撤廃されます。
3. 9/1にC2, ARM64 Instanceはすべて削除(will be completely deprovisioned)されます。
個人的にはScaleway = 格安ARM Instanceというイメージであったので、少々悲しい気もしますが時代の流れでしょうか。
仕方がないのかもしれません。
なお、この廃止によりScalewayは別インスタンスへの移行を推奨しています。
また一応、別のARM Instanceプランを検討はしているようですが現時点では予定はないみたいです。

As of December 1 st, 2020, our C2 and ARM64 Instances will reach their end-of-life. The physical servers hosting them are indeed randomly affected by several stability issues, which prevent us from fully guaranteeing the overall quality of service. Rest assured, however, that we are committed to guiding you in your migration and provide you with the best matching resources for improved stability, performance and reliability.
Starting from April 16th, 2020, it is no longer possible to create new C2 and ARM64 Instances. In addition, their support will end on July 1st, 2020. As a result, our technical assistance will no longer address issues related to those instances. A price increase is also to be expected on July 1st, 2020. Lastly, C2 and ARM64 Instances will be completely deprovisioned as of December 1st, 2020.

C2S, C2M, C2L
ARM64-2G, ARM64-4G, ARM64-8G, ARM64-16G, ARM64-32G, ARM64-64G, ARM64-128G

Virtual Instances for Scalability & Production Needs
The easiest way to migrate your C2 and ARM64 Instances is to turn to our Virtual Instances. They feature hot snapshots, local boot and NVMe SSDs. With up to 4 vCPUs, 12 GB of RAM and 120 GB of local storage, Development Instances are perfect for testing environments and horizontal scaling. For production infrastructures, check out General Purpose Instances, which guarantee a 99.99 % service level and are powered by up to 48 vCPUs, 256 GB of RAM and 600 GB of local storage.
Both ranges are compatible with our full SSD Block Storage. It will replace C2’s additional storage with 5,000 IOPS guaranteed and a 3-time replication.
We are also investigating new ARM ranges but nothing is planned for the moment.
Bare Metal for Dedicated Resources
If you are looking for dedicated resources, you can also turn to our high-end Bare Metal cloud servers, which have been designed for mission-critical applications and services. Divided into three ranges: General Purpose, High CPU and High Memory, they offer up to 36 Intel Xeon Gold cores, 768 GB of RAM and 8×1TB of NVMe SSD storage.
